Speaking of tripping balls, New York’s Mayor-For-Life Mike Bloomberg issued this hilarious statement last year, yet another dispatch from the moral equivalent of war archives:

“Terrorists kill people. Weapons of mass destruction have the potential to kill an enormous amount of people. . . [but] global warming in the long term has the potential to kill everybody.”

Hey, maybe he’s right — New York is in the midst of getting nine to 15 inches of global warming dumped on it tonight.

If only we had listened to Leonard Nimoy when we had the chance…
