I think you’d have to read Liberal Fascism more than a few times for the exact connection to become apparent, but beyond the killer headline above, The Rhetorican adds:
I dunno. They both attract eugenics advocates?
Legal Insurrection: Wonkette goes after Trig Palin…again!
Why does Wonkette find the need to rally against a special needs child like this? An even better question: does she watch Triumph of the Will to get her jollies? Does she think the camp inmates in Schindler’s List
are the villains?
Just askin’…

Incidentally, Ken Layne wrote the post that the Rhetorican links to. In better days, Layne was known for a slogan whose rhetoric and idealism he’s long since abandoned. Ana Marie Cox is long gone, and based on the current masthead, there’s a 50/50 chance that Wonkette isn’t a she, depending upon who’s written the post in question.
Incidentally, for some thoughts on how the left became obsessed with conspiracy theories, click here.

I thought Wonkette was a guy now. Did they finally hire another lady to take over that job?
Steve,
Looks like two guys and two women on the current masthead:

It’s a reflection of the deeply distorted prism through which the True Believers view the world. When they were called out on it, they backpedalled furiously and claimed that they weren’t going after the kid, but after a local Anchorage talk-show host who is friendly to the Palin Administration. Of course it’s bollocks, they were using Trig as a pinata to get a rise out of the Governor, and it simply shouldn’t be done.
The fact that that people at Wonkette rationalize this kind of garbage simply demonstrates the triumph of situational ethics among the apologists for the Ruling Party.
Of course, we have our Mark Sanfords, so nobody’s totally clean. But it’s nice to point out the hypocrisy among the Lefties.
The Rhetorican post on this is easily the stupidest thing I have read lately.
These people understand that others have the ability to rationalize, don’t they?
“Of course it’s bollocks, they were using Trig as a pinata to get a rise out of the Governor, and it simply shouldn’t be done.”
Would you legislate that this shouldn’t be done then, you bonehead?
What picture would demonstrate her closeness to the talk show host better than with a baby? Todd standing 10 feet away?
The righteous indignation is laughable and transparent.
