Last night, we linked to Stephen Gutowski’s Newsbusters post on AOL’s attempts to tamp down criticism of Playboy.com’s “hate-f***” article published on Monday. As Gutowski wrote:

The evidence is stacking up quite high that AOL News fired liberal writer Tommy Christopher today due to his repeated attempts to get coverage of the Playboy attack list on AOL’s Politics Daily. Christopher had first attempted to post this criticism of Playboy’s sick list the day it was published on their website. However, he was surprised to find that shortly after putting his article on Politics Daily it was deleted by an editor.

His surprise stemmed from the fact that in his two years of writing for the site not one other post had ever been deleted by an editor.

Christopher elaborates on his firing on his own blog today:

I can’t say exactly why this happened, as none of the shifting rationales (publicly) given for my firing make any sense.  Given the facts documented in the articles written on the subject, and facts that I can’t share on the record, I have no doubt that the Playboy article was the true catalyst for my firing.

  1. 1. A real man...

The most hilarious part to me is, he happily deletes and censors people’s postings on his site, but was surprised to find an editor deleted his posting. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed (although he IS indeed a tool), he’s not the brightest crayon in the box, and he’s just a few thousand bricks short of a house. I bet the poor fool still hasn’t figured out who I am. LOL!
