This Is The Way Bipartisanship Ends

April 14, 2009 - 10:47 pm - by Ed Driscoll

“Not with a Bang but a Slander”, writes Jimmie of the Sundries Shack:

The Obama administration has done something I didn’t think it was possible to do. It managed, in a ten-page report, to tattoo the word “extremist” on the foreheads of about half the country.

Michelle Malkin posits, “In Obama land, there are no coincidences”:

It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.

“Better make a few last-minute signs for the Tea Party”, Michelle adds. “Obama’s DHS is watching.”

But who will be the first GOP congressman, senator, and/or presidential candidate to very publicly speak out early and often about this report?

Related: “Never before in history have so few been able to accuse so many so often and so pervasively of so much they didn’t say and don’t mean”, Roger L. Simon writes, in his look at “Tea Party Derangement Syndrome.”

Extremism in defense of liberty is not a vice. To quote Sen. Au H2O. Their fear is most delicious. It’s almost to bad we couldn’t drag it out another week. Not in my adult life have I seen progressives sweat like this. Thanks for the link.
