Japanese Robot Women On The Moon

April 3, 2009 - 11:06 am - by Ed Driscoll

Japan Girl Robot on the CatwalkNo, that’s not a deliberately cheesy John Landis movie title–but Japan’s Strategic Headquarters for Space Development aims to make it a reality by 2020.

Hmm–that’s one year after Blade Runner is supposed to take place. Coincidence? Sure. (And who knows how badly Japan’s basket case demographic free fall will be by then, which is partially driving their emphasis on robotic research.) But the more lunar development, via man and his robots, the better.
