Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams resigned this morning, and will soon announce his run for the Senate seat from which Kay Bailey Hutchison is retiring. Williams chairs the Railroad Commission, which regulates the states energy industry. Williams, a tea party favorite, can be expected to bring his energy expertise to bear on the campaign.
