Did you know that leftwing violence is actually way less common than rightwing violence? I know this because every frickin’ time there’s leftwing violence, the media reminds me — and there’s sure been a lot of leftwing violence.
But apparently, when no one was looking… rightwing hoodlums were even worse?
It’s like Groucho Marx’s one-liner about the fast-talking husband’s explanation when his wife caught him in bed with another woman: “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?”
In the pre-internet days of an all-powerful, monolithic mainstream media, the big boys in New York could pull a Houdini and make all kinds of problems go away simply by ignoring them. When ABC, CBS, NBC, and the New York Times opted not to cover something, it went unreported.
But today’s outbreak of leftwing violence is too big and too shocking to ignore. Even in the mainstream media’s absolute heyday, this wasn’t something that could be spun away with selective stats or Hollywood accounting. You can’t keep telling people that rightwing violence is the bigger problem when leftwing violence isn’t just happening over and over again — but is also being celebrated 24/7 by leftwing sympathizers on social media!
Speaking of social media, I’m debating publishing an image that a leftist posted under one of my articles. It’s disgusting and evil, so I’d rather not do it. But on the other hand, maybe that’s the exact reason why I should.
It was a photoshopped image of Erika Kirk, speaking at a podium, with a bullet tearing through her throat and her mouth gurgling blood.
Each day, hundreds of millions of images and posts are uploaded to social media sites. We only see a tiny sliver. On left-leaning platforms like Reddit, there are countless posts about Charlie Kirk being a Nazi, Donald Trump being a “pedo rapist,” and other outlandish allegations. Depending on your state of mind, consuming such extreme propaganda could cause permanent harm.
I imagine social media is kind of like those violent, first-person-shooter video games: The overwhelming majority of the population can differentiate between real-life violence and video game violence just fine, but there’s going to be an unknowable percentage who can’t.
For them, it’s an intoxicant: The drumbeat of disturbing content desensitizes them from the harm and glamorizes the benefits (fame, fortune, social approval, purpose).
But lately, it has gotten so bad that even the mainstream media is throwing in the towel. This past week, the media FINALLY admitted that leftwing violence is the bigger problem. (I know! I can’t believe it either!)
But of course, since the mainstream media is still the mainstream media, they sprayed black ink like a frightened squid, semi-obscuring the truth:
NBC News: Right-wing terror attacks plunged in 2025, while left-wing attacks ticked up: study
The number of right-wing terror attacks in the U.S. plunged dramatically in the first half of 2025, while the amount of political violence from the left creeped up, a new study found.
The report on terrorism and political violence by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a bipartisan research group, found that, through July 4, "2025 marks the first time in more than 30 years that left-wing terrorist attacks outnumber those from the violent far right."
The article isn’t worth reading, because they’re still lying about the stats. For example, remember when a Hamas-loving leftist tried to firebomb the home of Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-Penn.)? Or the murder of two members of the Israeli Embassy by “Free Palestine” loons?
The report also excluded some other high-profile incidents, including an arson attack on Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s residence and a shooting that killed two Israeli Embassy staff in Washington, D.C., because they were classified as "ethnonationalist incidents."
They ALSO excluded the leftwing violence, arson, murders, and mayhem from the Black Lives Matter protests. (Were those “ethnonational incidents,” too?)
Bottom line?
That God-awful video of Charlie Kirk’s assassination was witnessed by millions of horrified Americans (including millions of children). We all know what we saw.
Unfortunately, an untold number of violent, mentally unstable leftists saw it, too. And their reaction was completely different.
Violent leftists are inspiring and influencing new violent leftists. That’s not just my opinion — that’s now a verifiable fact.
A gunman who opened fire at a Dallas immigration facility Wednesday allegedly left behind a bullet casing inscribed with the phrase "anti-ICE," part of a recent trend of suspects in high-profile shootings signaling their possible motives through their ammunition.
FBI Director Kash Patel shared a picture of the casings, saying one was engraved and "shows an ideological motive" behind the attack. The incident followed the accused killer of Charlie Kirk inscribing gamer-inspired antifascist messaging on bullet casings and Luigi Mangione using words on his casings linked to health insurance companies. [emphasis added]
The scary part? Writing on bullet casings won’t be the last thing they inspire. These things tend to escalate.
We desperately need the nation’s most influential liberals, leftists, and Democrats to lower the temperature and reel in their crazies. Republicans can’t do it. (We’re “literally Hitler,” after all.) You’ve trained them to believe all Republicans are liars, devils, and Nazis, so it can’t come from us.
It must come from them.
And I don’t think they’ll do it.
PRedictions: A big reason why I’m so pessimistic is the sleazeball governor of California, Gavin Newsom. He was on late-night TV last week, telling Stephen Colbert the following (per Fox News):
Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Tuesday he fears President Donald Trump will try to cancel the 2028 presidential election so that he can stay in power.
During an interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," Newsom said Trump will not only try to rig next year's midterms but also the next White House race.
Newsom said he’s "raising awareness around how Donald Trump is trying to rig the midterm elections," and "I fear that we will not have an election in 2028."
"I really mean that in the core of my soul. Unless we wake up to the code red, what’s happening in this country — we wake up soberly to how serious this moment is," the governor told Colbert.
Gavin Newsom is a dirty, filthy, shameless liar. Not only does he KNOW FOR A FACT that there’ll be an election in 2028, he’s actively raising money for it. (And he’s not the only Democrat either.) Their 2028 presidential PACs have already raised millions!
If he doesn’t believe we’ll have an election in 2028, then why doesn’t he return all that money?
But whereas we roll our eyes at his bull[feces], there’s an unknowable number of violent, unstable leftists who’ll listen to Newsom and take his prediction literally. And hey, if you can’t achieve political change via the democratic process… what does that leave you with?
Newsom said this 13 days after Charlie Kirk was murdered. It was one of the most irresponsible and dangerous statements a major politician has made in recent memory.
PRojections: There’s been a diversion of interests between Israeli Jews and American Jews. Until the past decade or so, there was an assumption that what’s good for Israel is good for American Jews, too — that the long, tragic history of antisemitism, persecution, and genocide necessitated a Jewish homeland.
In yesterday’s article, we explored why that calculation has changed:
A big reason why so many American Jews are opposed to Netanyahu’s actions (aside from a higher percentage of Jews voting Democrat anyway) is that they believe Israel’s conduct is making life more difficult for them and their children.
[…]
American Jews have the luxury of ignoring radical Islamic terrorism in a way that Israeli Jews do not. They live in different realities: Whereas Israelis are fearful of Hamas invaders slaughtering thousands, injuring thousands more, and kidnapping hundreds (again), American Jews are more afraid of the local antisemites who’ll attack their children because they’re mad at Israel.
Because so many angry, violent leftists in Western countries are furious at Israel, it’s better (meaning safer) for European and American Jews if Israel stops drawing attention to itself. They blame Israel for fighting back too hard.
They view Israel like it’s the black sheep in the family, getting everyone else in trouble.
But on the other hand, the Israeli Jews certainly weren’t safe on Oct. 7, 2023. It was the bloodiest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. If anything, it taught millions of Israelis to fight back smarter and harder.
I don’t know if this is fixable.
PRaise: To President Donald Trump’s speech at the United Nations. It was simply the most astonishing — and thoroughly entertaining — foreign policy address by an American president of my lifetime. Here’s the link:
It’s vintage Trump: loud, direct, unflinching, and unapologetic. America is back, baby!Gone are the namby-pamby days of Barack Obama. Remember his address to the UN?
If there’s one place on President Barack Obama’s annual speaking calendar where rhetoric about the U.S. being the world’s greatest power doesn’t sell, it’s at the United Nations.
So when he spoke to heads of state and diplomats Wednesday, there was little talk of America’s duty to solve the world’s problems.
For many in the international audience, that kind of language conjures up notions of American imperialism, military adventurism and a foolhardy quest to remake the world in America’s image.Even as the U.S. expanded its most significant military operation since the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq a decade ago, Obama watered down his noble-America rhetoric.
[…]
“I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri — where a young man was killed, and a community was divided,” the president said. “So, yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions … but we welcome the scrutiny of the world.”
An Obama aide later said the president referenced Ferguson to make clear to his audience that “we’re not perfect.” [emphasis added]
Imagine that: An American president who’s actually proud of America.
What a novelty!
PRedators: When Tiger Woods won the 1997 Masters, golf legend Fuzzy Zoeller said the following:
He's doing quite well, pretty impressive. That little boy is driving well and he's putting well. He's doing everything it takes to win. So, you know what you guys do when he gets in here? You pat him on the back and say congratulations and enjoy it and tell him not to serve fried chicken next year. Got it. Or collard greens or whatever the hell they serve.
Best case scenario, it was a really bad attempt at good-natured humor. Worst case scenario, it was ugly, unacceptable racism in the form of an unfunny “joke.” (Tiger Woods later forgave Zoeller, accepting his apology.)
Either way, it was a rarity in Tiger’s career: For the most part, the golfing world recognized that he was their cash cow — the “Michael Jordan of golf” who’d bring in more dollars, more fans, and more eyeballs.
And so, they loved him.
But imagine: What if Tiger Woods had burst on the golfing scene in the 2020s as a mixed-race kid in a lily-white sport? And imagine if all the other players had treated him like a pariah — snubbing him from the Olympic team, fouling him constantly, and making it clear that a guy like him “didn’t belong” in the PGA?
The American people would be appalled: Racism is disgusting.
Well, we have a near-exact facsimile going on in the WNBA today: Caitlin Clark, the white (hetero) female phenom in a league dominated by black (and often LGBTQ) women, was hammered, fouled, bloodied, injured, and left off the Olympic team.
Since she’s been out with injuries, WNBA ratings have fallen by over 50%.
And speaking of the WNBA, they have a very curious section on their official website called “Educational Resources.” If you think it’s full of self-help books, sports essays, and basketball articles that’ll help young girls become better, more confident athletes, well, you haven’t been paying attention:
