We are truly living in an age of miracles and wonders. There are so many stories that circulate these days that are absolutely unbelievable, totally beyond the realm of possibility, and yet they are as true as the nose on your face. The Western intelligentsia’s determination to be compassionate to those who are perceived as being less fortunate, and to avoid anything that even comes close to any appearance of racism, has led it to a place where its authorities look with a compassion that is practically maternal upon even the most bloodthirsty of murderers, and to extend to them a warmth and consideration that they don’t even extend to their own citizens. And when people have hearts that are so brimming full of love, really, what could possibly go wrong?
Thus we come, more or less wholeheartedly, to the case of Mohamed Bakkali, who shot to fame when it was discovered that he was one of the principal attackers at the Bataclan theater in Paris on Nov. 13, 2015. The Bataclan massacre was done in the name of Allah and Islam, and it stands as one of the most gruesome examples of what devotion to the religion of Allah can lead a human being to do to other human beings.
Back in July 2016, the New York Post reported that “the Islamic State terrorists who attacked the Bataclan theater in Paris last November not only killed scores of innocents — they also gouged out the eyes and sliced up the genitals of some of the victims, according to testimony in a disturbing French report.”
The details are positively nauseating: “Some victims’ bodies from the second floor of the theater had been beheaded, eviscerated and otherwise mutilated.” French lawmaker Georges Fenech “said he had heard of one especially grievous account: The father of one victim had told him that his son had been disemboweled and castrated, with his testicles found in his mouth. ‘They had cut off his testicles,’ Fenech said during testimony.”
All that and more was the handiwork of Mohamed Bakkali and his devout comrades. In earlier, less enlightened ages, that might have been the last we would have ever heard of Bakkali: he would have been swiftly tried and executed, and that would have been that. But we know better, far better, now. Remigration activist Dries Van Langenhove reported Wednesday that Bakkali, “the logistical brain behind the Paris and Bataclan attacks that killed 129 and wounded hundreds more, is allowed penitentiary leave by the Brussels court. If Bakkali continues his ‘calm and good behaviour’ according to the court, he could soon be freed indefinitely.”
It’s true: one of the most bloodthirsty killers in modern French history is being allowed “penitentiary leave” from his prison in Belgium, and soon could be sprung for good. Also on Wednesday, the Brussels Signal reported that Bakkali “has been granted multiple temporary prison leaves by a Belgian court. The Brussels Tribunal d’Application des Peines (TAP) approved six penitentiary leaves of up to 36 hours each for the 39-year-old, a Moroccan-Belgian national who is serving his sentence in Ittre prison, a high-security facility in Walloon Brabant. He has already benefited from several short permissions since July 2025.”
And why is Bakkali so “calm” now? It is likely because he is serene in the knowledge that he has won the favor of Allah, and accordingly, his heart is at peace. Allah promises in the Qur’an to “heal the hearts” of those who fight the unbelievers: “Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, and he will lay them low and give you victory over them, and he will heal the hearts of people who are believers, and he will remove the anger of their hearts.” (Qur’an 9:14-15)

From the standpoint of his belief system, Bakkali certainly punished the unbelievers. And so now he believes that Allah has removed the anger from his heart. A placebo effect can be a powerful thing.
Belgian authorities would be crazy to free this man from prison, but we have seen so many crazy leftist officials all over the West these days, one more isn’t going to shock or appall anyone. And yet it is an absolute certainty, a one-hundred percent lead-pipe cinch, that Mohamed Bakkali is every bit the jihadi that he was when he began his attack; he has not reformed. This is because nothing has been done while he has been in prison to disabuse him of his jihadist sentiments; any such action would have been “Islamophobic.”
And now Belgian authorities are on the verge of allowing this brutal jihad murderer to walk free and have the opportunity to murder more infidels. Another triumph of multiculturalism! Its glories are inexhaustible!
