Obama: five-year freeze on spending?

The White House is leaking that the president will call for a five-year freeze on spending.  This ought to sound moderate  and reasonable to most ears.

But Ryan also will say our country is at the “tipping point” and that if you consider the stimulus spending since his inauguration there has been an 84% increase in the funding of government.

Ryan will call for cuts, not a freeze.
