Jared Kushner: 'I Did Not Collude With Russia, Nor Do I Know of Anyone Else in the Campaign Who Did So'

During the 2016 presidential election, there were a lot of questions about what role Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, would play in his campaign and in his administration. It seems like one of the roles he played during the campaign was to be a representative conducting opposition research with Russian lawyers. And now he serves as a senior advisor to the president. Kushner, however, told reporters today that “I did not collude with Russia, nor do I know of anyone else in the campaign who did so. I had no improper contacts. I have not relied on Russian funds for my businesses. And I have been fully transparent in providing all requested information.” The question is whether he’s telling the truth. Chances are that Kushner would know about any collusion. Kushner also said, “Donald Trump had a better message and ran a smarter campaign. That is why he won. Suggesting otherwise ridicules those who voted for him.”
