Ivanka Trump Says Accepting Syrian Refugees Should Be Part of the Discussion

One of President Trump’s central tenets during the campaign was not letting Syrian refugees into our country. And, his most controversial executive order thus far was to ban travelers, refugees, immigrants, and visa/greencard holders from several Muslim-majority nations (including Syria). But, when asked specifically about whether we should be letting Syrian refugees in, Ivanka Trump differed from this policy. She said, “That has to be part of the discussion.” The first daughter has proven that she wields a lot of influence over her father, especially on international affairs, so we wonder if this will change the course of the Trump presidency.
