That’s right. It’s not even April, but here we are again, forced against our will to witness another front on the left’s never-ending war on Christmas. This latest effort comes to us courtesy of Daniel Kibblesmith, a staff writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. His new picture book, Santa’s Husband, tells the story of a black Santa Claus and his white husband who lives with him at the North Pole.

Does this not seem a tad inappropriate for children? Is it supposed to be funny? Campy? An attempt to lecture the kiddies about homosexuality … at Christmastime? What’s next? Gender-bending Santas?

The book, published by Harper Design, will go on sale October 10. The book’s cover, recently tweeted out by Kibblesmith, shows the amorous twosome in their Santa suits looking dreamily into each other’s eyes.

One has to wonder about what happened to Mrs. Santa. Was she a “beard” until Santa decided to come out of the closet, at which time she was unceremoniously kicked to the curb? It all seems so seedy, but in the name of tolerance and diversity anything goes I guess.

Harper Design says the story is meant for all ages, but really — why would anyone want to push a book about homosexual Santas onto little children? Scarier question: What kind of parents would want to buy it?
