Kanye West Says He's Running for President in 2024

Grammy Award-winning artist Kanye West said he’s running for president of the United States in 2024.

The audience laughed when West first made the announcement at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival.

“What y’all laughing at?” West said on Thursday in New York. “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk.”

West also said he might change his name for one year.

“When people say it’s crass to call yourself a billionaire, I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year until y’all understand exactly what it is,” he said.

West’s new album, “Jesus is King” is currently at the top of the Billboard charts.
