In a speech to the British group Conservative Friends of Israel, Prime Minister Theresa May condemned her opposition, the Labour Party, for their anti-Israel stance. Through executive action, she’s having her country adopt a tougher definition of anti-Semitism, which will include blaming Jewish people for Israeli actions and will also include some displays of anti-Israel sentiment. As May said, “The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement is wrong, it is unacceptable, and this party and this government will have no truck with those who subscribe to it.” In general May sees the need to curb the trend, which is evident throughout much of Europe, towards anti-Semitism. Let’s hope her efforts take root!
