God bless the United States — or at least what it used to be.
Imagine you are running for public office and belong to a religion which most of your constituents do not share. Imagine that some leaders of that other religion claim their religion bars them from voting for someone of a different faith. After you dispute that rigid interpretation of their religion and persist in winning votes from those adherents, you get accused of blasphemy, thrown into prison for two years, and naturally lose the election.
This dystopian nightmare is a real story from purportedly “moderate” Indonesia.
Jakarta Governor Ahok Purnama, a Christian, is off to an Indonesian prison for two years for blaspheming the Koran. The blasphemy? He said that Muslims were free to vote for non-Muslims. How convenient for his Muslim opponent in the election!

And if there was any doubt this was some fluke, the local theo-thugs are organized.
“Here we have witnessed that the judge has become a representative of God, that the judge has upheld justice,” said Syamsu Hilal, a member of an anti-blasphemy group who reported Ahok to police last year. (Please be sure to watch the madman Hilal in this short video rant about how “peaceful” his faction is after the Christian governor was hauled off to prison.)
Those who degrade and violate the dignity of the individual always have a reason, don’t they? What is more frightening is that a nation of 250 million people adopts this madness as law. This is a perfect example to share with your children whenever they ask what makes America such a great country.
You better hurry though — because there are plenty of Americans here who want to wreck it.
Many are graduates of Harvard.
Imagine it is 1969, and students at the University of Alabama decide they want to have a separate graduation ceremony with members of only one race. Sure, everyone would attend the regular commencement — but before that, they would hold a whites-only ceremony.
These were the good old days when the civil rights groups still had moral authority. The outrage and condemnation would have been nationwide, unanimous, and justified.
Not anymore.
At Harvard, black students will indeed gather this month for an apartheid graduation ceremony.
Blacks only. No whites allowed.
Courtney Woods, a student who will earn her master’s in education policy and management, told the Washington Times:
Harvard’s institutional foundation is in direct conflict with the needs of black students.

There is a legacy of slavery, epistemic racism and colonization at Harvard, which was an institution founded to train rising imperialist leaders. This is a history that we are reclaiming.

The grandchildren of those who suffered under Jim Crow’s wickedness have abandoned the moral code that rendered Jim Crow wicked. Race has become a religion to people like Courtney Woods, a psychosis to others.
Race, to them, is everything, and for that their moral code is no different than Mississippi Senator Theodore Bilbo’s. Bilbo and his ilk acted out their wicked racial psychosis in different ways, but they share a central belief — that race defines a person, not the inherent God-given dignity of each person.
Anyone who is surprised that an apartheid graduation ceremony is happening in Boston — once the center of abolitionist intellectualism — should read Redneck Nation by Michael Graham. Graham notes that these days the old stereotypes ascribed to the American South — racial ignorance, intolerance, and moronic stupidity — are actually thriving on campuses in Boston and other hotbeds of enlightened virtue-signaling.

Parents: stop aspiring to send your kids to Harvard.
I’ll wager a graduate from the Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, Massachusetts, 24 miles from Harvard Square, will produce more value in their lifetime than many Harvard graduates. Most Americans put more value on a great brakes and rotor change than someone indoctrinated in the social justice orthodoxy who can’t identify George Mason.
If you think this madness won’t reach you in the heartland, you’re wrong.
Clemson University sits on land once owned by John C. Calhoun. It’s far away from Boston, but the kooks have also arrived there, courtesy of the South Carolina taxpayers.
Clemson’s “Office of Access and Equity” is busy violating federal law and the Adarand Constructors, Inc. v. Peña decision by proudly letting government issue contracts on the basis of race.
Clemson also offers scholarship money on the basis of race, in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If you are the right color, you can apply for the Graduate Diversity Fellowship. From the Clemson website:
The Graduate Diversity Fellowship committee, made up of representatives from the Office of Inclusion and Equity, the Office of Access and Equity and the Graduate School, offers a variety of financial assistance opportunities for eligible minority students pursuing doctoral degrees at Clemson University.
Only certain races need apply, just like the good old days.
Taxpayers in South Carolina are also funding GOODTalk at Clemson. GOODTalk’s exercise in Group Think describes itself as:
GOODTalk seeks to bring together graduate students, staff and faculty members from across the Univesity [SIC!] to engage around topics which influence our communities and are relevant to understanding and facilitating dialogue. This ten week experience will offer an opportunity for personal reflection and growth, conversations across and about difference, and the development of a social justice knowledge base that will assist in facilitating dialogue with Clemson students. Topics participants can expect to explore include, but are not limited to: ability status, gender expression, national origin, race, religion/spirituality, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status of origin.
The Clemson University employees can help you “effectively define social justice concepts,” but they can’t manage to spell the word university. Lots of bellyfeel, I’m sure, at GOODTalk seminars.

I’ve got nothing against Clemson in particular: the same madness that’s marching across Clemson and Harvard is probably at a university near you. The thought tyrants are organizing everywhere.
The enforcers of blasphemy in Indonesia are nothing new. We’ve seen it all before, like the priest holes in Elizabeth’s England or the Soviet erasure of Christianity. The campus zealots think they are marching us to their bold inclusive future. But they are using ideas from long ago — division, racism, orthodoxy, utopianism, and intolerance.
Let’s stop pretending they are the enlightened ones just because they’re on campus.
