Sanders’ supporters accused the party elite of rigging the rules at the Paris Hotel event in Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Sun, supporters of Hillary Clinton wanted to adopt temporary convention rules as permanent as Sanders’ backers called the move an effort to “fix” the state gathering in favor of the former secretary of State.

Boxer spoke on behalf of Clinton for the party’s nomination, and called her Senate colleague Sanders a friend as she made a pitch for party unity.

“You can boo all you want,” the California Democrat told Bernie’s supporters as they shouted her down. “Boo louder, because you’re booing Bernie Sanders.”

Boxer argued “we need civility in the Democratic Party.”

Nicole Boxer, a documentary producer, slammed the Bernie supporters on Twitter:

Sanders’ supporters argued that the whole story wasn’t being told:

People across the Internet pitched in to send 300 pizzas to the stranded Bernie delegates, under the hashtag #SocialistPizza.
