What's Up? Obama Meeting with Deep-Pocketed Donors, Warren Buffet, Tech Leaders...

Former President Barack Obama has been on a magical mystery tour this week, apparently doing what he does best —  meeting with deep-pocketed donors. It’s all very hush-hush, but if history is our guide, it’s a safe bet that he’s raising money for the sort of underhanded, community-organizing activities he’s become known for.

On Sunday he met with liberal billionaire Warren Buffett in Omaha, Neb., according to The Hill:

Susie Buffett told the Associated Press the two spoke for nearly three hours but declined to comment on the subject matter of the meeting. She was also at the lunch meeting that took place at Happy Hollow Club, where Buffett is a member.

“I’m not going to talk about the meeting,” she said. “The three of us ate lunch.”

On Monday Obama met with tech leaders in Silicon Valley, where he has held numerous fundraisers during his presidency.

Via CBS SF Bay Area:

The president spent the day at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, where a crowd of people stood and waited for hours to see his motorcade whisk by.

Early Monday afternoon the motorcade left the hotel, heading straight for U.S. Highway 101 on its way to Moffett Federal Airfield.

Flanked by Secret Service agents, the casually-dressed Obama was seen posing for pictures and signing autographs with well-wishers at the airfield before boarding a Gulfstream jet.

It was not revealed who the president was meeting with during his visit to San Jose; as a private citizen, Obama is not obligated to say.

From there it was off to Hawaii, where “it is not yet known if Obama will make any official appearances or what his plans are while he’s in the state.”

What is Barry up to? David Solway this week answered that question here at PJ Media:

He has thrown himself fully into Alinsky-style “community organizing,” stirring up resistance to the Trump administration in every way conceivable: installing, according to the New York Post, a “shadow government,” dubbed Organizing for Action, comprising more than 30,000 agitators and 250 chapters across the U.S., in order “to sabotage the incoming administration”; renting a dwelling and setting up command headquarters around the corner from the White House; cooking up the Russian hacking fable; and most recently, allegedly wiretapping Trump Tower, which seems disturbingly probable following the salient remarks of Ret. Army Intelligence Officer Tony Shaffer on Fox and the revelations from Breitbart News. Mark Levin’s accusation that Obama is orchestrating a “silent coup” against Trump rings true.

There have even been reports in recent days that people across the country are receiving robocalls from Obama and Hillary Clinton raising money to “Resist Trump.”

Actor Scott Baio was among the first to report large numbers of Twitter users claiming to have received the robotic phone calls, which were reportedly seeking to raise money for Democrats hoping to block President Trump’s new executive order on immigration, also referred to as the travel ban, and to hamper Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Twitter users also report receiving automated calls from Obama encouraging them to disrupt town hall meetings in congressional districts and to urge elected officials to reject Trump’s cabinet nominees.

And now he appears to be aggressively raising money from deep-pocketed donors. Bear in mind, this is an ex-president who has been out of office for less than two months. We put up with the miscreant for eight long years, and now he refuses to move aside.

Remember last November when Obama said that he would try to withhold criticism of Trump and give him “room to govern”? Obama felt compelled to say something along those lines because that’s what his predecessor George W. Bush did. “He could not have been more gracious to me when I came in,” said Obama.

“I want to be respectful of the office and give the president-elect an opportunity to put forward his platform and his arguments without somebody popping off in every instance,” he said.

Of course, as Instapundit noticed many moons ago, every Obama promise comes with an expiration date. This one just came a lot sooner than most people expected.
