Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) and his fellow Democrats turn into Scrooges at Christmas time and try to suppress the word Christmas and the meaning of the season. But they plan to add two Muslim holidays as official state and school holidays.
It’s amazing how Democrats find baby Jesus in a manger “hateful” and “offensive” and necessary to keep out of the public square, but they are enthusiastic about commemorations of a pedophile “prophet” who glorified rape, mass murder, and incest. Symbols of the Christian Savior who humbled Himself for our sakes, Ten Commandments displays, or Nativity scenes depicting all the biblical figures present for Christ's birth are supposedly exclusionary and unconstitutional. But ramming every holiday from the demonic Islamic religion down our throats is somehow a sign of woke emancipation and cultural enrichment. It doesn’t make any sense.
California Assembly Bill 2017 would turn Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan) and Eid al-Adha into state holidays, meaning that anyone who is a state employee could use holiday credits for those days to take off work, according to the New York Post. Public schools and community colleges could also take advantage of the designation, or they could choose to propagandize children about Islam on those days. Want to bet that teachers who tried to talk about the many religious traditions of Christ’s Mass or read from the Bible in class before Easter or Passover would be in serious trouble?
The legislation already passed the Assembly and could clear the Senate Monday. I mentioned already that Eid al-Fitr is the end of Ramadan, which often receives the name “month of Jihad,” not only from critics of Islam who notice how many terrorist attacks occurred during that fasting season, but from jihadis themselves, who always encourage increased terrorist attacks during Ramadan. During Ramadan 2026, Islamic terrorists carried out 133 attacks that took the lives of nearly 500 people worldwide. This is the sort of holiday that California Democrats want all their citizens to celebrate.

Yet last Christmas, Newsom deliberately left the word “Christmas” out of his message about the annual state Capitol tree lighting ceremony. He prefers to wish Californians “Happy Holidays,” which is basically meaningless.
Democrats hate Judaism and Christianity because they are corrupt, sexually perverse, dictatorial, and unjust. Their great mistake, however, is in thinking that they can use Islam to destroy Western civilization, but remain in control and keep the Muslims within limits. Newsom might think he prefers celebrating Ramadan to celebrating Christmas, but if Muslims take over California and establish sharia, he and his fellow Eid al-Fitr-promoting Dems will learn their mistake the hard way.
