Florida Arrests Violent Activist as Minneapolis Lets Rioters Destroy Fed Property

In Florida, a woman punched a trooper in the face to express her violent hatred for law enforcement. She was immediately put in handcuffs and set to be charged with felonies. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, leftist activists are destroying federal property and violently attacking federal officers as local officials stand aside or encourage the violence.

In yet another illustration of the difference between Republican leadership versus Democrat leadership, police and state authorities in Florida are actually enforcing laws against assaulting law enforcement while Minnesota is practically in open insurrection. This midterm year, Democrats have made it very clear that they are the party of crime and chaos and violence. We need to emphasize over and over not only the laws they are breaking, but the damage they are causing.

Democrats have been very successful for years at winning based on emotional pleas. But if the GOP publicizes all the ugly realities of the leftist reign of terror, the emotional appeal could be just as effective. And since nearly half of Americans now identify as independents, we need that appeal in the midterms.

To get down to specifics, let us begin with the report from Florida, which ought to encourage every law-abiding citizen. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier shared the following:

RelatedICE Arrests Dangerous Criminals as Leftist Rioters Protest in Minneapolis

Assaulting police can result in jail time, even years of prison, and between a couple thousand to $100,000 in fines. Too many times, protestors arrested in Democrats states quickly obtain release. Cruz might feel the difference in Florida.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) responded to this news of Cruz’s arrest by applauding the troopers and Uthmeier. “Really bad decision to attack one of our troopers. This isn’t Minneapolis,” DeSantis said.

Speaking of Minneapolis, protestors there are spending their time wrecking federal vehicles, assaulting ICE, and stealing government property — including weaponry. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey continue to level false charges against ICE and refuse cooperation with the feds, while Minneapolis police reportedly refuse to intervene.

The difference in law enforcement for Republican and Democrat states is not a mistake; it’s by design. As I noted above, this midterm year we need to be spreading the truth about how Democrats love violence and crime. There’s a lot to criticize about Republicans, but red states are undoubtedly much safer places to live than blue states. The truth will set you free, but Democrat states will only set criminals free.
