Any sane person cannot help but laugh as the same lefties who screamed “no kings” now protest the arrest of a dictator.
The “No Kings” rioters were always hypocrites because Donald Trump is a duly elected leader who does not act in the least like a dictator and who, in fact, restored many of the liberties under assault from the previous administration. Also, there was evidence that leftist billionaires were funding the protests, so from every perspective they were hypocrites. But the “No Kings” crowd just reached a whole new low with their support of Venezuelan ex-dictator Nicolás Maduro.
The “No Kings” protests happened in every major Democrat city and many others across the United States, including my own hometown of Tucson. But if you are a professional protester, you always have to have something to gripe about, and some of these wackos have now seized on Maduro‘s arrest, using the same rhetoric against Trump that they used in the previous protests.
In Rhode Island, for example, protesters told the press that Trump was escalating war and “mov[ing] through the world as if it’s [his] backyard.” They apparently forgot to ask Venezuelans, who have turned out in mass numbers both in their country and across the world to celebrate Maduro’s downfall.
While virtually every leftist politician on the planet has rushed to declare full support for dictator Nicolas Maduro…

At the Massachusetts State House, the group Party for Socialism & Liberation put “No blood for oil” and “End endless wars” on signs. They appear to think the Trump administration only cares about oil and not narcoterrorism. As an interesting fact, that Party for Socialism & Liberation was previously affiliated with the radical anti-Israel activist who gunned down two young Israeli staffers in Washington, D.C., last year. The Party for Socialism & Liberation strongly supported anti-Israel and pro-Hamas riots, so evidently they are fully in support of endless wars as long as the wars are jihad against Jews. Affiliates of the group also protested for Maduro in D.C.
In Philadelphia, protestors’ signs read “End U.S. Imperialism” while they were chanting “Viva, Viva Venezuela.” Venezuela now does have a chance to live with Maduro gone, but these idiot protesters seem to think the whole population of Venezuela must be identified with its dictator.
Over in Detroit, a few dozen radicals from the Anti-Fascist Organizing Coalition (AFOC) and Moratorium NOW Coalition turned out in the icy weather to call for narcoterrorist tyrant Maduro’s release. AFOC specifically defines itself as an anti-Trump and anti-Israel organization, the ultimate “No Kings” derangement.
In Los Angeles, California, which has been a hotspot of riots ever since Trump took office, activist Sean Wakasan blustered, “Venezuela is a sovereign nation and it's not just in our jurisdiction. No one else has a right to overthrow the government and say who should be leading them or not.” Apparently he’s under the delusion that Maduro was a legitimate ruler. If only he could tell the overjoyed Venezuelans that their sovereignty was violated because their oppressive regime was toppled.
If not for "No Kings" leftists, who would turn out in support of power-mad tyrants who act like unassailable and unaccountable monarchs?
