WEF Celebrates ‘Indigenous Peoples’ While Ignoring Uyghur Massacre

The World Economic Forum (WEF) of the plan for you to own nothing and like it aired its self-righteousness ahead of Indigenous Peoples Day. Meanwhile, WEF continues to laud the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which is committing ethnic genocide against Uyghurs.

Since the WEF’s whole point of existence is to remake the world into a Marxist dystopia, it is hardly surprising when it lies, but in this case, the hypocrisy is particularly brazen. Soon after holding yet another conference in Communist China, and holding up China as an admirable model for the rest of the world to follow, WEF pretended to care about indigenous people. Except for Uyghurs, Tibetans, and any other indigenous group that the CCP massacres, of course.

WEF, with its usual hypocritical pomposity, announced, “The International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is marked every year on 9 August, acknowledging a global community representing more than a quarter of the world’s land.” WEF therefore lectured, “The report sets out five key strategies that governments can adopt to increase Indigenous inclusion in trade – and highlights economies where they are already in place.”

As with any people in any part of the world, from the Americas to Europe to Asia, the Uyghurs are not the only people ever to live on the land, but it was theirs before the CCP came in to commit genocide. Turkic people using the name Uyghur have been in the area they still inhabit on and off since the eighth century, according to Britannica. It seems pretty safe, therefore, to call them indigenous. Of course, fewer and fewer of them are left, particularly on their historic lands, thanks to the CCP.

By systematically rounding up Uyghurs, imprisoning them in concentration camps, practicing mass rape and torture, killing many, and committing other horrific crimes against humanity, the CCP is committing literal genocide.

Tibetans, whom the CCP has killed and oppressed for many decades now, are also indigenous people whom the CCP has crushed. Not to mention the CCP cultural genocide of Mongolians and the heightening persecution of Chinese Christians, Falun Gong, and other religious minorities within China.

But that doesn’t impede the WEF’s love affair with Beijing. WEF is partnered with well over 40 CCP-controlled entities, and just held its summer conference, which they arrogantly named the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, in Tianjin, China. This WEF summer conference also took place in China in 2024, 2023, 2021, 2018, and — well, actually, the conference is always in China. Uyghur genocide be damned, the Marxist elites must fraternize and drink champagne together.

This year, the CCP vice premier was a featured and honored speaker at WEF’s Davos conference. WEF also asserted this year that China is showing the rest of the world how to make a “green transition,” even though China continues to build hundreds of new coal plants. “'Build first, break later': How China's green transformation was built to last,” WEF raved.

WEF is so enamored of the CCP that it even developed a digital ID plan very similar to the social credit score of the CCP, which allows them to prevent dissidents from going anywhere or buying anything.

The CCP is the worst mass murdering regime in all of history and continues to commit genocide against indigenous peoples. WEF can spare us the condescending lectures about respecting indigenous people on August 9 or any other day in the calendar.
