This incident, between RI state Sen. Joshua Miller and citizen Dan Bidondi, happened last week. Bidondi reportedly confronted Miller after a statehouse rally in Providence. The rally was in support of an “assault” weapons ban. Bidondi turned out to oppose the law, as is his right.

Miller at first defended his behavior, saying that Bidondi had been “intimidating” rally goers despite being outnumbered by them. But he has since apologized. Miller has been in office in RI’s Senate District 28 since 2006.
