New dad and Facebook creator and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is making waves across the parenting sphere this week with his entry into the “mommy wars” — on one of the most explosive topics: vaccines.
On Friday in Palo Alto, California, Zuckerberg posted a photo of himself and his daughter Max with this caption:

Immediately, comments started pouring in from both sides of the vaccine war. The top comment on the post currently has over 33,000 “likes”:

Thank you for doing what’s right and also for showing everyone else that it’s the right thing to do as well.
Zuckerberg’s post itself has over 2.8 million “likes” and over 25,000 shares only a day later. One of the places the post was shared was on the popular pro-vaccination page “Refutations to Anti-Vaccines Memes.” On that page the post was “liked” over 6.5 thousand times, making it one of the page’s most popular posts to date:
