Yale goes to war with university administration for sacred right to discriminate against white, Asian applicants
For decades, institutions of higher learning in the United States, the vanguard of liberal enlightenment principles, have systemically discriminated against both whites and Asians in their respective admissions processes in service of hitting desired racial quotas.
Despite a 2023 Supreme Court ruling barring universities from considering race in admissions, they kept doing it anyway, because the law is more of a suggestion when constructing utopia is on the agenda.

In May, the Trump Department of Justice finally took concrete steps to do something about it.
Via The Guardian, May 2026 (emphasis added):
The US Department of Justice on Thursday accused Yale University of illegally considering race in admissions to its medical school – the second institution to face discrimination allegations by the federal agency this month.
In a letter to a lawyer for Yale, Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general for civil rights, said a justice department investigation found that Black and Hispanic students have a much higher chance of admission to the medical school than white or Asian students, despite having lower grade-point averages and lower test scores.
“Yale has continued its race-based admissions program despite the supreme court and the public’s clear mandate for reform,” Dhillon said in a statement. “This department will continue to shed light on these illegal practices, and demand that institutions of higher education comply with federal law.”…
Since Donald Trump returned to office last year, his administration has been putting pressure on universities to stop using race as a basis for admission, which conservatives view as illegal discrimination. And a US supreme court decision in 2023 banned the use of affirmative action in college admissions, in cases involving Harvard and the University of North Carolina.
The committed progressives (communists) who run American higher education would prefer, of course, to discriminate in their admissions processes exclusively against whites (literal Satan).
However, in order to usher BIPOCs into the university in sufficient numbers, something had to be done about the over-achieving Asians, too.
You want to make an omelet, you’re going to have to break some eggs.
(The exact status of East Asians vis-à-vis White Supremacy™ has long been a matter of dispute and an uncomfortable subject for progressive social engineers looking to remedy the plague of said White Supremacy™, in that this demographic actually vastly outperforms not just other ethnic minorities but also whites in virtually every category — income, poverty, and, relevant to this controversy, academic achievement.)
Anyway, the Yale chapter of the American Association of University Professors has essentially declared war on the administration amid rumors that a settlement is in the works.
Via Hartford Courant (emphasis added):
Yale faculty, alumni, students and local lawmakers are imploring Yale University to refuse to negotiate a settlement with the Trump Administration over allegations that it unlawfully considered race in admissions to its medical school.
They say the allegations are unsubstantiated and bending to the administration would allow the federal government to dictate the governance of higher education at the Ivy League university, setting a precedent for other universities to follow. Yale declined to comment on the claims.
The Yale chapter of the American Association of University Professors, which has 250 faculty members from every college and school across the university, is also considering legal action if the Ivy League university chooses to settle the case.

MSNOW (formerly MSNBC) recruited President of the American Association of University Professors Daniel HoSang and an apparent self-hating Asian (or else just a shameless social climber), Yale Student Body President Alex Chen, to ironically yet sincerely denounce the practice of not discriminating on the basis of race as “Jim Crow.”
