As reported recently at PJ Media, HHS Secretary RFK Jr. and Donald Trump, along with other members of the administration, put on a press conference two days ago documenting their findings regarding the potential negative health ramifications of acetaminophen (Tylenol) on developing babies, specifically in terms of the drug’s potential link to autism.

Kennedy, Jr. announced bold new actions to confront the nation’s autism spectrum disorder (ASD) epidemic, which has surged nearly 400% since 2000 and now affects 1 in 31 American children…
HHS will act on acetaminophen. Today, the FDA will issue a physician notice and begin the process to initiate a safety label change for acetaminophen (Tylenol and similar products). HHS will launch a nationwide public service campaign to inform families and protect public health. The FDA is responding to prior clinical and laboratory studies that suggest a potential association between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes…
Given the conflicting literature and lack of clear causal evidence, HHS wants to encourage clinicians to exercise their best judgment in use of acetaminophen for fevers and pain in pregnancy by prescribing the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration when treatment is required.”
Of course, this causal link is not some fanciful invention of “anti-vaxxers” or whatever; none other than the Journal of the American Medical Association — which, in any other context, is exalted by the liberal hivemind as a sort of proxy for the Bible — established the link in a study published in 2020. (And it’s by far not the only one to do so.)

- Some weird appeal to autistic authority: “Anyone who believes in this red Kool aid drinking conspiracy hasn’t been around autistic people like ever in their life”
- Deriding the MAHA public health authorities as "the same people who were ingesting horse dewormer for a SARS virus" — a wildly inaccurate reference to ivermectin, a proven antiviral treatment on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines
- Claiming that The Patriarchy™ is weaponizing public health to torture pregnant women: "Tylenol is literally the only thing pregnant people are allowed to take for pain during pregnancy. They’re gonna try to take away the one thing they give us to deal with pregnancy pain/discomfort"
- Demanding the “immediate” removal of the president under the 25th Amendment: "Tylenol will sue. And win. This is so g****mn insane the 25th amendment should be invoked immediately."
- Threatening to down an entire bottle of Tylenol to prove a point: "F**k it. i'm giving myself super autism"

The question must be asked: Why are these people so territorial about, of all things, Tylenol as the potential culprit, or one of the potential culprits, of autism?
What could they possibly have invested in gatekeeping on behalf of a pharmaceutical corporation?
