PARASNAKES

The mice were first laced with paracetamol, which is lethal to the snakes. One question unanswered by the report is if the mice were carefully airdropped into the center of Guam, to avoid capsizing the tiny island.

All those layers of editors and fact checkers, and the headline refers to Guam as a country? Good stuff, Maynard.

To the topic at hand, apparently St. Patrick wasn't available.

The idea that the weight of 2,000 mice would cause the island of Guam to tip over is patently absurd. Get your science right!

It would take the weight of at least 10,000 or so mice to cause the island to tip over. And they would all have to be on one side of the island.

Don't you think our government is aware of that? C'mon. Rep. Johnson's office (D-GA) is right on the case...... (Did I mention the 'D' ? They care...)

Brown tree snakes are very bad mojo. Hawaii is very concerned because of the traffic between here and Guam. There are no snakes in Hawaii. Not now, at least.

Paracetamol, more commonly called Acetaminophen in this country. aka Tylenol.

i lived on Guam as a child, before the snakes. i was back, briefly, in 1994. huge change. i hope this works as well as the pilot study did.

i'm all in favor of Guam not tipping over, too.
