New Zealand man using 3D printer to build his own Aston Martin DB4 — you know, the one James Bond originally drove in Goldfinger. The insides will a Nissan Skyline, but the outside will be a fiberglass replica of the classic roadster.

I recall hearing on the VFX Podcast that the DB5s they used in Skyfall were, in fact, printed. At least the one they blew up. Not sure re: the one that was driven.

No. Both are real cars. There's a hero car owned by EON that is used for stills and interior shots, and they built another DB5 to the same spec for driving shots.

The "blown up" DB5 was a 1/3rd scale model.

You cannot "print" a car. What's going on here is a process to make plugs and molds that can be used to make fiberglass panels for a real car.
