Is This the Line for Band-Aids, Comrade?

Here’s how ObamaCare is streamlining the delivery of health care to America’s neediest and most deserving:

Applying for benefits under President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul could be as daunting as doing your taxes.

The government’s draft application is now on the Internet.

It runs 15 pages for a three-person family. The online version has 21 steps, some with added questions.

At least three major federal agencies, including the IRS, will scrutinize your application.

That’s just the first part of the process, which lets you know if you qualify for financial help.

Our low-information voters are about to get quite an education.

Now, one of two things will happen. They’ll either form a surge of right-leaning voters, as happened in California in 1978 and then the nation as a whole in 1980. Or they’ll become the quietly bitter little form-fillers and benefit-takers and line-standers the Bureaucratic State has been diligently working to turn them into since the New Deal.

My hopes aren’t high.

We've idly sat by while going to college has become another paperwork nightmare. Ask any parent who has to fill out a FAFSA. None of my kids qualified for a dime of aid, but every year I had to fill out that on-line slog for each child, just because no college would take them without that paperwork. Mountains of personnal information, most of it completely irrelevant, and all under penalty of commiting a federal felony.

The Obama voters ask for this, and they are going to get it good and hard.

Since all emergency rooms are required to take care of emergencies. Why don't they forget the forms, and go to the emergency rooms when they need service? Tell the hospitals to bill the Fed.

huge numbers of people do that now. which is a huge problem. it clogs up the place for real emergencies, when the bill finally does arrive it ain't cheap and while emergency rooms are required to take care of emergencies and the Hill -Burton act requires that some of it be free, all emergency care is not free or "bill the Fed" though who knows with obamacare. also, just because of the "go to the er" attitude, many hospitals are closing their ers

i suspect that what will happen is a profusion of social worker types who will help the low enders fill out the forms while the rest of us turn to a new group of professional form fillers, kind of like health care accountants or an expansion of insurance agents, to do our paper work. whatever happens will lead to an increase the percentage of the health care dollar going to administration and away from patients. doctors will be blamed for excessive spending and more administrative types will be hired to oversee them.

and so on ad infinitum.

Obamacare is reminiscent of the health care system of the Soviet Union. Next will come the food lines, waiting all day in hopes of getting enough food to feed your starving family. Why is it that under tyrants the military and the police are well fed and the general population barely eeks out a living? Oh yeah! People control.
