So what happens when Tom Petty and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics collaborate with the director of The Kids Are Alright on the video of a song about an early-morning encounter with a coked-up Stevie Nicks?
This is what happens.

Lol so many comments, anyway was waiting for Ringo and George to show up. Good to see the videos back!
I’m a HUGE Petty fan. In fact, I just ordered some trinkets from his web site yesterday.
IMO, this song was the peak of creative genius for both Petty and Stewart.
And quite possibly, the peak of creativity all time in music videos.
I’d never heard (nor seen) anything quite like it before, nor have I since.
Oh man. This always gets me. Great choice.
One of my favourite Petty songs- the other being “Last Dance With Mary Jane”. Both, apparently, about drug use. Which brings me to one of the major sources of tension between Libertarians and Conservatives- legalised drug use. How can Conservatives who drink object to drug legalisation without being that Worst Of All Things, Hypocrites? One can go in to all the historical and cultural justifications for favouring booze over the Chronic (and all of it’s companions}, but the final argument is that the newer intoxicants aren’t an alternative to alcohol, but an addition.
Didn’t ST:TNG steal that cake bit in one episode?
I had never heard that backstory for the song. Where’d you learn it?
