One of the legions of VodkaPundit Spies™ checked in from a lovely dinner in Seattle with this bit of anecdata:
Interesting eavesdropping at dinner. Older libs (restaurant in tony area near University of Washington) discussed how their friends wouldn’t donate to O this time. Hipsters at the bar downtown going on an on about how stupid their parents were to vote for Romney.
The common factor: both groups very angry… And very worried.
That’s the sense I’ve had of the electorate since the primary season got rolling late last summer.
Do you think we’re going to win today?
Will Great Satan commit suicide or will he rise again?
The Chick Fil-A voters. The Wisconsin non-recall where Darth Union spent so mightily, to no avail. Save us, Votie-won-Kenobi. You’re our only hope.
By the way, it’s like every thread is a different cocktail. A little Kahlua in that one, a little gin in that one, a little fine wine in this one. Keep pouring, please, Stephen.

Lo, it be difficult to question the depth, wisdom, and profundity of a group of left-coast hipster barflys. If they are not in sync with me, I must be doing something wrong.
My 30 y/o nephew is residing in D.C., but out in Virginia trying to get out the vote for Obama – he is VERY worried. His father and I mutter quietly, “Confusion to the other side…” We simply cannot call a family member the enemy.
I have a deep background in the northeast arts/hipster communities.
I’ve long been amused (and picked a couple fights) by so many of the super-hip, cool, social rebels showing off their bona fides by shilling for The Man. Additionally, in not recognizing the irony.
I guess the appeal of not having to earn your own keep cutting into your studio time and Your Band’s record’s budget is too lip-smacking to pass up.

Read a book. Go to sleep early.
Whatever you do, don’t follow the “results” in the media.
They offer only ignorance and lies, followed by lies and ignorance.
No use subjecting yourself to needless worry about what is beyond your control.
