Watching proto-President McCain swing into action last September destroyed any chance he had of winning my vote.
First, he suspended his campaign. Ballsy, but a smart move if he could make it pay off. Then he swung into action, proving his executive prowess by going with the flow on TARP, then getting rolled by Pelosi. On top of which was his on/off/on decision-making regarding the Presidential debate that Friday night.
One of the worst performances by a major-party presidential candidate since Dick Nixon, back in 1960, bit the head off a puppy.
It’s pretty funny that the Telegraph story you linked shows no awareness of rickrolling. TIME was more on the ball, back in January:

One almost gets the sense that McCain had some inside information on what was coming, decided he wanted no part of that crap sandwich and chose to take a dive.

That video was odd. What does the disco video have to do with anything. That woman is really not right in the head.
