Dear gods, yes it does suck. We recently traded in the TMobile Dash for the G1. WORLDS better.
I’ve heard lots of good stuff about Google’s Android.
There’s a not-funny laugh to be had here, too. One of the Palm (?) bigwigs said before iPhone, that there was no way a bunch of computer guys were just going to jump into the cell phone market with a good product the first time out.
Already, iPhone dominates everybody but RIM in the smartphone market, and Google has done a better job with the first generation of its cell OS than Microsoft has with six and half generations with its brand.
Go figure.
I couldn’t love the G1 more if it actually washed my car.
M$ failure to compete in this area should surprise no one. I would say they’re only interested in excelling at one thing, but then look at Vista.
