Taxes are done, and I may have a lawsuit on my hands. Nothing exciting – just some people who might not have been following instructions.
Anyway, if I’m a bit distracted the next few weeks (like I haven’t been the last few weeks?), you’ll know why.
Ah, the old ‘send money, guns, and lawyers, the stuff has hit the fan.’ Well, enjoy your expedition into the wilds of American law. We’ll send the St. Bernards after you if you aren’t heard from in a month.
I’m a tax CPA. I’m kicking back today because my marvelous staff finished up all our extensions yesterday afternoon. Today we’re just walking around the office making sure we didn’t miss anybody.
Your comment about a lawsuit is troubling. Do you mean to say your tax preparer din’t follow instructions or what?
Hmmmm… Lemme guess… You told the broker “Hold”. He thought you said “Churn”. Hilarity ensued! (No pun intended!)
Nuthin’ like billing and deposition hell to cause one to re-evaluate dueling as a means of conflict resolution. Until one sits across the table from a man who has it in his interest to be measured and deliberate, at the rate of several hundred dollars per hour, one really doesn’t grasp the meaning of homicidal rage.
