After a thoughtful discussion with my bride – a discussion involving, mostly, me begging, “Please, may I?” – it’s been decided that I’ll be drunkblogging Thursday’s Presidential Debate.
Syncronize your watches.

I really thought that was about to enter “Wonkette territory.” I will try to get my mind out of the gutter.
Fantastic.
Might be a whole lot more entertaining that way.
Excellent idea (so good an idea, that I, too, had thought of it). But what to drink when? It seems wise to save the bubbly for the end or for toasting Kerry’s blunders. What is a good drink to have before Champaigne?
The Monday Llama Salt Lick
Monday’s my busiest day, so instead of doing the usual full blown dozen links I’m doing a link dump. Here’s a smattering of the good stuff: Want the latest on riflegate? We’ve got you covered! Rusty: Why I like King…
Was there ever any doubt?
In the jargon used by Marriage Encounter (a thoroughly worthwhile organization, BTW), that’s a “mutually life-giving decision”.
Personally I’ll be drinking scotch during the debate. And reading the blogs.
two words:
Drinking Game.
This HAS to be done. You’ll get ripped exponentially faster.

Shooters every time jfkjr says “homies”, “blinbling” or “chillin” (or anything else that’s obviously a – ethno-cultural and/or b – contrived).
Oh, wait – that would mean we’d be hammered after his opening round.
Way I see it, we either drink ourselves to death in the first round, or don’t drink at all (“Shooters when he says something sensible that Bush isn’t already doing.”)
Oh, hell, just drink.
Excellent. I need another case of gin anyway …
The Presidential debate…as brought to you by th
He says he’s drunkblogging it…I may have to check that out here.
I’m keeping myself sober for the first one, the faster to blog by.
But the other two debates? Three sheets to the wind baby.
Drunk Blogging
I’m not looking forward to the Presidential debates. The questions will generally be stupid and the answers will certainly be much much worse. You can ask either candidate what they had for breakfast that morning and you’ll get 2…
Just got back from he rally for Bush in West Chester. Best soundbite was when he said that he has been “trying” to prepare for the debate, but Kerry kept changing his position that he wasn’t sure what postion Kerry was going to take for the debate and that possibly the 90 minute debate would be best spent with Kerry debating himself. Perhaps a shot for everytime he flips from an already stated viewpoint (which should be frequently), would be the quickest. By the way, 50,000 for Bush at the rally, about 20 for Kerry…
So, we cross posting at Command Post again?

RE: Live-Blogging
Since I don’t have a television any more [Note: Destroyed all connections resembling such 8 years ago.], I guess yours would be the more entertaining way of catchng the discussion.
RE: Drunk Blogging
I know a database developer of world renown who said he does his best work at 2 am after seven scotches.
Looking forward to it.

I guess I will be playing the game “drunkblogging”.
I will drink everytime Kerry mentions Vietnam, that Bush Misled on Iraq, and that Bush alienated our “allies” (allies being France)….
I will drink when the President says “Nuc-u-lur”, and says “Terr-rah”..
I will drink when…oh hell, I’ll just drink. It’ll be like a RMBB event.
Oh, Woe to Democracy
Actually, I’m grateful in a way the debates are reduced to this. It makes it that much easier to watch the Pitt-UConn football game (ESPN2, Thursday at 7 pm). The only way I would watch the debate would be if I was in a drinking game with it or drunk…

GMA Kerry interview Part II
There were no flashing red lights or blaring sirens in the second part of Diane Sawyer’s interview with John Kerry on Good Morning America. Not like the first part. It was pretty much stump speech stuff. I heard a very…
