A stray rat photobombed local channel Fox 45 as it ran a segment on conditions in Baltimore. As reporter Maxine Streicher told the audience that locals were “deeply offended” by President Donald Trump’s comments about Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings’ district in West Baltimore, the camera zoomed in on a bag of trash lying on the floor, burst open.

“Cummings’ District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place,” Trump had tweeted.

Liberals have attacked these tweets as racist, and CNN suggested that Trump used the word “infested” in a racist manner, to suggest that Baltimore is infested by black people — a patently absurd suggestion, since he clearly said it was infested with rats.
