Sharknado 3 Will Take Place in Washington D.C.

There’s great news for fans of the Sharknado movies on the SyFy channel.

Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will return to fight yet another Sharknado in July. This will be the third Sharknado. The second Sharknado took place in New York — and now, it’s back…in Washington D.C.

Will D.C. residents even notice a tornado filled with sharks? Probably not since there are sharks walking the streets and in the halls of Capitol Hill every day.

Syfy announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour that the duo will reprise their roles as Fin and April for the third Sharknado TV movie.

In the next installment of the movie series the Sharknado will “cause mass destruction in the nation’s capital,” which sounds like what happens when Congress is in session.

Apparently, the Sharknado series is fairly popular. The New York Sharknado was the most watched original program on the SyFy network ever.

The latest movie will involve a Sharknado that travels from D.C. down to Orlando.
