Payback for multiple gross insults delivered by The One, starting with the very intentionally rude return of the bust of Churchill.

I do hope our next President rights that wrong. Well, as far as possible, anyway. That's the kind of wrong that cannot be completely undone.

The appropriate response would be to offer to give asylum to 4 and only 4 members of the Royal Family if their growing Muslim minority-about-to-be-majority rise up to take over the country. Let them argue among themselves who gets to go and who gets to stay.

Very amusing, children. Har har. However, it's worth noting that when the British - the British, who as a country lack a jarl in which they could evacuate - the British, who, if they could not look across the Atlantic and see an America in decline and think of themselves at least as equals, would have to rightly see themselves as members not of the third world, but of the fourth world - the countries which are incapable of further advancement - that when the British disrespect you, you have indeed lost all respect.

Considering how enthusiastically we celebrate out independence every year, a bit of good-natured counter-joshing is well within bounds.

Besides, they know if they tried it again thousands of patriotic Americans would show up (though in 2014 most of us would bring marshamallows).

Since Obama appears to be illiterate in history, he'll be to dense to return the favor by commemorating the Battle of New Orleans.

The US-British War of 1812 was the highly unusual case of neither side really losing or winning. The British gave up their pretensions to dominate the US but they were hardly defeated.
Oh, the image...yeah, tan111, that's just funny. A bit snotty.

"Only sparklers this time!"

A clear sign that the "special relationship" has been damaged.

Relax, that's just dry Brit-Wit.

We really seem to be working together now on our mutual Central/West Asian Problem.

They've suffered bloody casualties "over there" right along with us, more in proportion to thier vastly down-sized capabilities. They're just not the same as in the days of Empiah.
