Earwax-Eating Congressman: 'Communism works'

A week ago, Rep. Joe Garcia found a moment of fame when he was caught on camera picking his ear and eating the proceeds.

As it turns out, that isn’t Garcia’s only disgusting habit. His other, even more disgusting habit is promoting Communism. Straight up.

Garcia was discussing the US-Mexico border on a Google Hangout. He claimed — erroneously, and perhaps dishonestly — that El Paso, Texas, is the safest city in America despite its position on the border across from Mexico’s hyperviolent drug war. Garcia claimed that two of America’s safest cities are on the border, an easy claim to make when the crime statistics on the border have been cooked to make them look better than they really are.

Does Rep. Garcia know about the Panama Unit and its home invasions? Evidently not. But he knows his Communism.

“Two of the safest cities in America are on the border with Mexico. Of course, the reason is we’ve proved that communism works. If you give everybody a good government job, there is no crime,” he told the Google Hangout.

The veterans who have died waiting on the Veterans Administration hospitals to care for them are unavailable for comment.
