Democrat Wants His Party to Officially Come Out Against the Second Amendment

The Daily Surge has a clip of Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) on Bill Maher’s HBO show. Ellison says the Democratic Party should just be honest about its stance on guns.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), a guest on Maher’s panel pushed back saying, “You have got to check out the progressive caucus. We have come out very strong for common-sense gun safety rules. I mean, 27 children were mowed down. Isn’t that enough for us? One of our colleagues, [former Congresswoman] Gabby Giffords, shot in the face.”

For some reason, Americans murdered by drug cartel members along the border never came up. Neither did the victims of Chicago’s gang violence.

“Common-sense gun safety is bullsh*t,” Maher shouted. “Why doesn’t your party come out against the Second Amendment? It’s the problem, ” he added.

“I sure wish they would. I sure wish they would,” Ellison hollered in response.

Most Republicans wish Democrats would come out in full opposition to the Second Amendment, too.
