If you’re the sighing type

Americans are enthusiastic about the promise of science but lack basic knowledge of it, with one in four unaware that the Earth revolves around the Sun, said a poll out Friday.

The survey included more than 2,200 people in the United States and was conducted by the National Science Foundation.

Nine questions about physical and biological science were on the quiz, and the average score — 6.5 correct — was barely a passing grade.

Just 74 percent of respondents knew that the Earth revolved around the Sun, according to the results released at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Chicago.

It might not be a sign of the apocalypse…OK, it probably is.

And if they're not actually registered or legally eligible to vote, no problem.

You forgot to mention that they need not be breathing.... Because that's how all-inclusive today's Democratic Party is!

Where are the rest of the questions? I'd like to see them too. Nine questions and the average score was 6.5? That's just wonderful.

And they vote overwhelmingly Democrat.

You really want to mess with their heads after convincing them it does tell them it takes it exactly one year to do so -- never more and never less.

Whooooooa Duuuuude.

- And we've seen the fine politicians of that city foisted upon us. I'm frankly surprised it's only 1 in 4.

The Earth travels in a straight line through warped space. Because of the sun, we always end up right where we started. It's like a mad dream where I am running and running but I get no where. We should destroy the sun, then we can get somewhere.

They are picked up at their doorsteps and hauled to the polls. "Whoa, there's another election? This time I want my beer and dope before I vote."

And if they're not actually registered or legally eligible to vote, no problem.
