At least two people have been shot dead during a student demonstration in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.

A pro-government activist and at least one student were killed in a shootout, officials said.

At least 23 people are said to have been injured in demonstrations across the country.

President Nicolas Maduro is facing rising criticism for the country’s economic woes and high levels of violence.

Someone might want to get on the phone to The Idiot King and explain to him that this is usually how these heavy-handed redistributionist fantasies end. Oil rich, but toilet paper poor, the state controlled media runs ad denouncing capitalism.

Sort of like MSNBC.

Looks like the Venezuelan socialists have already run out of other people's money to spend.

Look for Maduro to seek asylum in Cuba soon, lugging as much money as he can steal from the People of Venezuela.

All they need to do is dig up and display Hugo's carcass and that should calm things down. And then Sean Penn can make a pilgrimage there to kiss Hugo's feet and ass and that should calm things down even more. And then Sean Penn can .... Hugo's .... ,well we don't want to get too graphic here.

Hugo wasn't buried; he is displayed in a mausoleum, much like Lenin. They won't have to dig him up and already have a venue in which visitors can kiss any part of him for photo ops....

I may be wrong about him being on permanent display, like Lenin. According to this article - http://www.ndtv.com/article/world/hugo-chavez-buried-after-final-tour-of-caracas-343159 - they had planned to do that but changed their minds. For the moment anyway, he is in a mausoleum but not on display like Lenin. They are talking about burying him in the National Pantheon with Simon Bolivar but they'd have to change the constitution to do that in less than 25 years....
