Government watchdog Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act request to get to the bottom of the National Park Service’s actions at the World War II Memorial in Washington this week. The NPS has barricaded the memorial and on Tuesday tried to prevent veterans from visiting the memorial, which has no amenities and is normally open to the public at all times.

The Judicial Watch FOIA request reads:

The National Park service has closed facilities that are either unmanned or take no federal funding, and says that the Obama administration ordered the shutdown. Anna Eberly, managing director of the Claude Moore Colonial Farm in Virginia, told Tatler that the NPS is renting the barricades that it is using to enforce the closures, an increase in the service’s operating costs at a time that the government is partially shut down.

A bunch of 90 year-old men in wheelchairs on oxygen tanks took what was left of Obama's manhood after Putin got through with him, and marched through the barriers.
Bwahahahahahah.
Obama and the Dems hate America, they hate the military, and they ESPECIALLY hate the courage that these men, and thousands of other men and women, have shown by joining the military because they know in their hearts, that they are cowards and aren't worthy of licking dog sh*t off the bottom of a soldier's combat boot.

We have become such a society of weenies that we have to have some 80 year old WWII vet show us how to handle tyranny. And we are losing those guys at the rate of 1000 per day.

Printing money, to rent barricades, for a bankrupt agency, to close an unmanned park...a perfect metaphor for what we can expect with these clowns in office another 3 years.

We should pray they don't start a war to "wag the dog" and make us forget all the domestic misery. I wouldn't put it past 'em.

This is the height of hipocracy and cynicism. It costs more to put up the barriers to keep people out of these memorials, than it costs to just leave them open. I thought a shutdown directed each agency to not spend money, but in this case it looks like obamas people are purposely spending extra money, just to make the shutdown look worse.

To put them in their place, they ought to start an occupy site minus the filthy smelly hippies. Then watch at how they are treated compared to the filthy, smelly hippies (as in coddled).

The thugs at the National Park Service have an office, cars, and home. We should occupy these locations and make them run a gauntlet daily. Make them fear us more than they fear their supervisor's memos.

That sure is a nice WWII Memorial. It'd be a shame if anything happened to it. Why don't you let us help you with your health insurance and we can make this problem go away?

A facility free, unstaffed memorial, that is. My Great Uncle is a WWII vet. He landed at Normandy, went through the Battle of the Bulge and shook hands with the Russians in Czechoslovakia. And he's still going strong. If this article is accurate, does any rational person have any doubts whatsoever as to the Esteemed Professor's intentions?

They say if you live long enough you will see everything, the only message I come away with is this: Obama's petty spiteful hateful regime used those vets as human shields whilst demanding the republicans give them what they want. Hiding behind them is cowardly, but cutting off their pension checks goes beyond petty to, I hope, legally actionable.

Who is renting these barricades to the NPS? Would be nice to name and shame those who enable this petty crap.
