A letter dated July 25 and signed by CBC Chairwoman Rep. Marcia Fudge, an Ohio Democrat, urges President Barack Obama to consider Jackson Lee for the position formerly held by Janet Napolitano, the first woman to hold the position. Napolitano resigned earlier this month to become president of the University of California.
“Representative Jackson Lee would serve as an effective DHS Secretary because she understands the importance of increasing border security and maintaining homeland security,” the nomination letter reads.

Sheila Jackson Lee doesn’t even understand the difference between the Moon and Mars.
She thinks Americans should just turn in all our guns in order to be “part of America.”
She thinks that there are two Vietnams, living side by side in peace.
She thinks that she, herself, is a freed slave.
She has also been named the worst boss on the Hill. I’ve worked in D.C. and know many who still do, some on the Hill. Saying Lee is the worst boss there there is saying a whole lot.
It’s obvious that none of that matters to the Congressional Black Caucus, but Lee’s skin color does. I suppose that in our age of having a frank conversation on race, I’m a racist for pointing out that Sheila Jackson Lee is a flaming idiot.
