When you’re losing the lap dogs

The development carries too many implications to count. Politically, the administration is now vulnerable to claims that it is again delaying unpopular provisions of the law until after an important election. It’s also reinforcing the notion, propounded by the law’s opponents, that the whole thing is an unworkable mess that needs to be repealed.

This really is about the election. The notion that the Treasury/IRS goons have listened to business people in America and are being responsive and helpful is laughable. If you’re a real conspiracy fan, you can even posit that, since it’s obvious that Obama knows how much potential havoc it will wreak for Democrats at the polls, he’d prefer it be something that blows up in Hillary’s face in 2016.

Employers will still be dropping health insurance as a benefit and dumping people on the awful government exchanges. Once it sinks in that Obamacare plans are more expensive than the penalty (er, I mean "tax"), people will be royally pissed off.

Delaying the business mandate for a year won't do much for employment figures, either. Sure, it might prevent a few layoffs here and there...but if you ran a business, would you feel comfortable hiring people based on this delay with the guillotine blade still hovering over your neck for 2015?

The Dems are still screwed in 2014 once voters start living (and dying) with Obamacare.

Is the delay for businesses grounds for a class action lawsuit by individuals?

An Ass masquerading as a President once found a Doctor’s white lab coat which had been left out in the sun to dry. He put it on and spoke to his countrymen. All bowed, both men and women, and he was a proud Ass that day. In his delight he lifted up his voice and brayed treatments and prescriptions randomly and incoherently and unleashed mindless and thirsty bureaucrats upon the land and then everyone knew him for what he really was.

I would expect more of the same to come. They have the 2014 elections to think about. They know aca is a train-wreck and that it will torpedo their chances.
