NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the governor who looks like a secret super villain, signed a landmark gun control law in January that nearly made criminals out of cops and limited ammunition magazines to a capacity that doesn’t exist. Now the governor seeks to undo what he done did in haste and stupidity.

The gun-control law, approved in January, banned the sale of magazines that hold more than seven rounds of ammunition. But, Mr. Cuomo said Wednesday, seven-round magazines are not widely manufactured. And, although the new gun law provided an exemption for the use of 10-round magazines at firing ranges and competitions, it did not provide a legal way for gun owners to purchase such magazines.

As a result, he said, he and legislative leaders were negotiating language that would continue to allow the sale of magazines holding up to 10 rounds, but still forbid New Yorkers from loading more than 7 rounds into those magazines.

“There is no such thing as a seven-bullet magazine,” Mr. Cuomo said at a news conference. “That doesn’t exist. So you really have no practical option.”

So, even under the revision, New Yorkers could own a 10-round magazine…they just couldn’t put 10 rounds into it.

Criminals all over the state will be sure to abide by that.

"Criminals all over the state will be sure to abide by that."

Actually they's buy weapons with 15 round mags and load 'em to the gills. Or, if they happen to be rich criminals, they'll buy fully automatic weapons.

Someone needs to teach the bozos the definition of "criminal".

People still don't get it. After the next big shooting they will then go back and make it a 5-round limit. Then 3. Then 2. Then it will be well, you can keep one in the chamber but you have to leave your magazine out of the gun. The sheep will accept the infringement creep as the new normal. There still has not been nearly enough pushback on these new laws. What are then going to come after once nearly all guns and/or magazines are banned? Pretty much everything else. For one thing you can kiss the 1st Amendment goodbye. New York will end up being the test state to see what the gun grabbers can get away with on a national scale. If gun owners do not get their act together and get these people out of office, in 5 years it will be very ugly.

Andrew "Nobody Needs Ten Bullets to Kill a Deer" Cuomo was hoping to kill a Constitutional right with only seven bullets.

Oh, in the name of...

This is what happens when metrosexuals who know nothing about firearms try to make gun control laws. I'm sure Cuomo's non-gun-owning "base" will think he's a hero. Everyone else is laughing.

The idea that Cuomo is willing to learn anything is misguided.
