Don’t worry, Charles M. Blow says it’s all good now.
President Obama’s Inaugural Address was an unapologetic, unequivocal progressive manifesto of domestic policies.
I needed that.
The president wasted no time on hollow talk about fixing a broken Washington or taking on the toxic tone in our politics.
Wait, “hollow talk”? Wasn’t that ostensibly the entire reason he was elected the first time, Hope and Changers?
Yesterday, Ace of Spades HQ had a fantastic post about the MSM’s sudden willingness to abandon the “Obama is a centrist” fairy tale they’ve been selling for the past four years now that his inauguration is over. And it only took them a couple of minutes to do that.
Calling him a liberal has always been somewhat acceptable outside of the sycophant press, but referring to him as progressive or socialist has usually been met with a full deck of Race Cards (believe me, I’ve got truckloads of experience). Then again, calling the Affordable Care Act “Obamacare” was once racist too. The President calls it that now.
So…either we never were racist or they’ve all become racists.
Four more years.

I found the media’s response to be consistent with what I have found with certain school principals and district supers in education and for similar reasons. “We control all the levers of power. We have access to your money like it or not. We control what information will be allowed through to your mind to keep you informed even if you are trying to be diligent.”
We tend to see media and education as separate sectors but political theorists with collectivist aspirations tend to unite them both under communication theory. It’s OK now to be an open Liberal or Progressivist or to embrace Marx’s theory of human development and call it psychology or pedagogy because no one can prevent its imposition via education. http://www.invisibleserfscollar.com/so-now-common-core-rejects-individual-thinking-to-embrace-soviet-psychology-ecology/
We are now in full-fledged “What can you do about it even if you have now grasped what is going on” mode. And on Monday the media made it clear they had known all along.
Really? Among my Progressive friends, being called “Progressive” is way better than liberal, because, you know, progress and “stuff”. Obviously if you aren’t with them, you are against progress, so that’s bad and you are bad.
And before you ask, no, they do not realize that many of the mistakes of the past century were done in by people calling themselves “Progressive” – they only know history from the time they were born and whatever light glossing they had in school. Besides, this time they are the smartest people around (and therefor whatever they think is progress), so this time it will naturally be better. Duh – the rest of us aren’t smart enough to realize it yet.
I know that most progressives aren’t personally offended by it but, as with all things Obama, it’s taken on an added charge of acrimony. Any time I’ve tried to point out (to someone on the Lef) that he is, in fact, a far left extremist (by any name), I’ve been either met with derision because that ran counter to the “centrist” lie the MSM was peddling or been called a racist.
“Liberals” have no interest in liberty, and “progressives” have no interest in progress. Neither of them even understand the terms.
You write very interesting, the topics are cool. I like this site. For how long have you been blogging? How much time do you spend on on blogging? I hope that I can use some of your opinions on my page. Yours, Ben
