Something interesting arrived in my inbox today, from Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe:
On Monday we wrapped up filming on our latest video series – which is slated for immediate release, just as soon as production is complete.
This time we took our investigation straight to the doorsteps of so-called journalists like never before.
I can hardly wait to show you the footage – the hypocrisy and sad comedy of what we captured is truly unprecedented.
Later in the email, he offers a hint of what he and his team have been up to. After describing the New York Journal News‘ decision to map the home addresses of legal pistol permit holders in its reading area, O’Keefe zeroes in on a newspaper that supports exposing even more legal gun owners.
Now its editors seem to think publishing the names and addresses of permit holders in New Jersey is such a good idea that it’s “something the legislature should discuss.”
In other words, to prevent violence like Newtown, The Journal News and Star-Ledger want to risk causing EVEN MORE violence.
…by turning law-abiding gun owners into targets for thieves and other criminals. But the absurdity doesn’t end there.
After a local blogger gave The Journal News a taste of its own medicine by publishing its editors’ home addresses online, the paper hired guards to protect their offices.
And - you guessed it - the guards were armed.
Any guesses what he’s up to?

I’m not quite sure I know what he’s up to exactly, but I’m pretty sure I’ll like it.
Maybe he has shown that the map excludes “journalists” who have guns themselves, or, even better, that the “journalists” have unregistered guns. That would certainly meet his hypocrisy tease.
“Any guesses what he’s up to?”
It’s hard to predict the future, but judging from his previous work I assume he’ll be pulling out all stops again to make michael moore appear to be (comparatively) a beacon of journalistic honesty.
How is it that o’keefe isn’t in prison?
Perhaps because he has freedom of speech, plus the courage to speak in his own name.
Perhaps it is because he hasn’t done anything that would result in going to prison… unlike your hero.
Such butthurt. Did you used to work for ACORN or Planned Parenthood?
How is it that you’re still above room temperature?
He isn’t in prison because in spite of liberals having no limits to what they’ll believe if it serves their cause, the legal system still runs on facts. Though pea brains like you are certainly endeavoring to change that.
How is it that David Gregory isn’t in prison?
He’s not in prison because he’s not breaking the law. And calling someone a liar over and over again doesn’t make it true, you have to actually, you know, point out where they’re lying.
To use your Michael Moore comparison there were detailed, scene-by-scene deconstructions of “Fahrenheit 9/11″ all over the place showing unambiguous falsehoods and pointing out glaring omissions. Now, are you suggesting that those ACORN and PP employees didn’t say what they’re clearly shown to say on film? Or are you saying that there’s some context wherein advising people how to run underage hookers and commit voter fraud is acceptable? If so I’d love to hear what that context is.
