Incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (R-Pa.) hung onto his seat in the face of a challenge from a GOP businessman.

With 25 of precincts reporting, Casey led CEO Tom Smith 65.1 percent to 33.2 percent.

The son of the state’s late former governor held a comfortable lead until recent polls showed the Republican gaining on the Dem.

Pennsylvania elected a Republican in 2010, Sen. Pat Toomey.
