Massachusetts: Sen. Brown Unseated by Elizabeth Warren
Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), who shocked the political world by capturing the seat left vacant by late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), will be packing up his D.C. office after losing to Elizabeth Warren.
With 35 percent of precincts reporting, Brown trailed Warren 52.4 percent to 47.6 percent.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau founder and Harvard law professor Warren got a nice bounce from the Democratic National Convention, where she had a high-profile speaking slot.
Warren earned the nickname “Fauxcahontas” from conservative bloggers for claiming Cherokee heritage, for which Brown criticized her in their debate.
Brown was consistently trying to convince votes on the trail in the blue state of his independence from the GOP in the upper chamber. He has voted with Republicans about three-quarters of the time in his Senate career.
Disappointing. I can’t help but get the feeling that not only will we not get the Senate, but that we’ll lose the whitehouse as well. Very disappointing.
Well, it was a nice Republic while it lasted. Shame about all the stupid people though. I guess after the liberals are finished pulverizing what’s left of our once great nation, we’ll have to start over as we did in 1776.
If Obama wins, I’ll be optimistic and believe that means that Obama will have four more years to permanently turn America off of the Progressive agenda.

Well…this was the most important election in our lifetime. It looks like we lost (though this is not for sure at this time (10:39 EST) and I really(!) want to be wrong about this). If so, this country is fuc*ed. It is time to set up an election for President of the Republic of Texas. Let the blue states rot in a hell of their own making!
So far I have rejected the idea in itself, but I believe secession might be the most viable and last, best shot for the American way to be preserved. Look at the electoral map, entire landscapes dominated by those who think they are entitled to a handout or who are so comfortable in their lives, so assured things will always work that they care more about their P.C. lifestyle dogmas than the actual governance of the country.
An America run by Democrats will soon look like Brazil plus partially colder weather, plus the malaise of the late Ottoman Empire, minus any sort of dynamism. There are still states that have the potential to escape that trap, but it’s not enough to win the Electoral College or Senate. Secession could be the only way to avoid being dragged down along with the moribound rest.
Let’s do it. There are tens of millions of us waiting on the moment. I wonder if just packing up and moving to Australia is a more viable solution in the long run…2 ideologically opposed groups sharing a border is a recipe for continuous warfare.

The Republicans who lost today were either social conservatives (like Akin and Mourdock) or establishment types (like Romney, Allen, Mack, etc.). Tea partier Mourdock probably lost because of an abortion comment. Abortion is NOT a tea party issue!

In any case I like my cave. I moved here because government regulations and declining reimbursement forced me out of what was a rewarding and well paying career (some of my classmates had PhDs because they could not get in the first time
. I think I could ride out the next 4 years here until the grownups return to government and the economy gets better.
The cave never leaks or needs repair. It has clean running water. It is cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter that my fuel needs are very low. It cannot flood or catch fire. I am protected from the elements and because there is only one entrance security is easy to handle. I pay no property taxes or utilities.
Because of the economic mess the price of gold has shot up and there is a small deposit in the cave system so I mine and sell some whenever I need to buy something. There are fish in the nearby stream, and plenty of game in the forest.
Anyway I hope you are surviving. The guy who lives across the street from me is a PhD biochemist from Yale. He has been unemployed for most of the last 3 years and his house is for sale. His family is moving in with relatives in Arizona and he has found some temporary work in Ohio. Hope and change means something different to him than it does to Mr. Obama.

They quietly took over our media, our schools and universities, in some cases our churches, ran political candidates who mis-represented themselves, appointed Leftist judges to subvert the Constitution, did what they could to divide us with “diversity”…and won.

Exactly why I think the House should make a public statement that since the people of the U.S. put Obama back in office, they will honor their mandate and give Obama what he wants in regards to the fiscal cliff. The resulting misery may wake people up.

Also, I’m praying for our country. The ONLY reason Obama and Co. were able to pull this off is even though we are so blessed, we are not thankful. We just want more and more. Witness the poor people in the U.S. overweight and crowing about free cellphones — the poor in Haiti are crowing about food. And the rich in this country gather too much for themselves. They could easily help out more, but they take and take and are never satisfied. (Not all rich mind you.) But, its that scenario that allowed this to happen. We need to be thankful for what we had and maybe, just maybe, we’ll be blessed enough to not fall so far down we can never recover at least a good portion.
