The Weekly Standard captured a couple of significant quotes from this morning’s talking head shows.
Obama political adviser David Plouffe offered support for U.S .Ambassador Susan Rice despite the fact that she riffed all five Sunday talk shows with bad misstatements about what happened in Benghazi, Libya, on 9-11-12. Rice blamed the sacking of the U.S. consulate there, and the murders of four Americans, on a “spontaneous protest.” Plouffe appeared on Meet the Press today and backed Rice: ““Well, this is an event of great interest, obviously, to the public, to the news media. Information was being provided in real-time. Obviously, you’re going to know more two weeks after an event than a week after an event. And as Ambassador Rice was– that was the information from the intelligence community. It was the same information provided for Congress. The reason obviously we now have stipulated this is a terrorist attack is that came from the intelligence agencies. So as information has become available, as this investigation has continued, we’re obviously making that information known.”
We now know that the intelligence community was looking at the sacking as a pre-planned terrorist attack from the very first day.
But Obama adviser David Axelrod showed up on CNN and seemed to toss Ambassador Rice into the ample space underneath the Obama bus: “Well, first of all, Candy, as you know, the president called it an act of terror the day after it happened. But when you’re the responsible party, when you’re the administration and you have a responsibility to act on what you know and what the intelligence community believes. This is being thoroughly investigated because we need to bring to justice.”
Yes, President Obama did call it an act of terror on 9-12. Then he backtracked and, ever since, has refused to call it an act of terror. He has also consistently linked the Innocence of Muslims YouTube movie with the attacks despite the fact that the movie is at most an excuse to riot. His federal law enforcement apparatus found the man who allegedly made that film, rousted him out for “questioning” in the middle of the night, and now has that man in custody on alleged probation violations. But Obama is not calling Benghazi what it was, a terrorist attack by an al-Qaeda that may be resurgent thanks to the Muslim Brotherhood’s newfound power and influence.
The inconsistency about Benghazi is not limited to Susan Rice. It starts at the top, because Barack Obama is still trying to decide which way to land. He’ll land wherever he thinks the political advantage lies, not where the truth leads.
By the way, Axelrod stole a second base in that quote above. He claimed that Benghazi is being “thoroughly investigated.” How is that possible when the FBI still isn’t on the ground where the attack took place?

And this happens during a campaign, in which he should act prudently. Imagine what are his plans for a second term !!!
Yes, this is a most important point. The Obama regime is not simply inept. It is ignorant, weak (bowing, apologizing, appeasing), feckless, and criminally negligent to our troops (and other representative personnel) in the field across the globe. This president has put the American people in great danger. And the danger ratchets higher every day that he continues to hold office. Can you imagine how this pencil-necked, college lecturer, empty chair “leader of the Free World” would react to full-blown (Hitlerian Rhineland-styled) attacks of a North Korean invasion of South Korea; a Red Chinese invasion of Taiwan; or a combined Iranian/Hezbollah/Egyptian invasion of Israel? Some very odd things happened. First, why is the AMBASSADOR TO THE UN talking about what happened to a US consulate (State Department facility) and a US ambassador (State Department employee)?? Where is the Secretary of State? Is it too much to imagine that Hillary refused to tow the Obama line on Libya? (Hillary wants to be associated with this debacle as little as possible, because, after all, she is running for President in 2016. OR, maybe, Susan Rice volunteered for this ignoble duty (I’ll do it, I’ll do it, let me fall on my sword for the one!!) because she wants to be Secretary of State in an Obama 2nd term. That is one. The second one is this: why is the FBI supposed to be investigating what happened in Libya. My understanding is that the FBI does domestic stuff and the CIA does the overseas stuff. The CIA has been in Libya for many months. Our spies are on the ground and have been. So why aren’t they telling Americans what happened? Why the FBI who isn’t even THERE? Could it be so the whole “investigation” could be as slow as possible, taking, perhaps, even until AFTER THE ELECTION to come to any conclusions/ Finally, how could it be that a patriot like Petraeus could be forced to toe the Obama line that it was about the movie?? I always thought he was a straight shooter and not politcal, but maybe I was wrong. So many unanswered questions, lies, evasions, etc. IMHO the whole thing stinks. By the way, were what used to be quaintly called “unnatural acts” performed on the body of our Ambassador Chris Stevens before and after his death? And it was an attack on the anniversary of 9/11. Think about that. We’ve had the worst attack on Americans on the anniversary of 9/11 and Obama was the president. Anyone who thinks the FBI was the proper investigation team to send into Bengazi is delusional. That goes for Obama and Holder. Prosecution is irrelevant in such an incident. War is the answer. Carpet bombing of known terrorist sites in Lybia was the solution, not some bogus pretense that the perps were going to be brought back to the US to stand trial and spend the rest of their unnatural lives in prison with 3 squares and a cot and all the free time they can use. I’m not going to blame the administration for its inability to get a politicized FBI to the crime scene to pretend they were going to do something significant. This is not a criminal matter. It’s a national security issue.

It seems to me that if you tweaked perception just the tiniest bit, what’s been going on in Libya and the White House begin to make much more sense.
For example, what if you had a President who had been bought and paid for by Muslim oil dollars? Who had a Muslim background and Muslim parental units.
Wouldn’t it make sense that such a President might know ahead of time about a planned terrorist attack, timed to coincide with a date that most Americans would be touched by?
Might not that same President also have arranged to make sure there was absolutely no security available to make it more difficult for the terrorists? After all, the dead are only Americans and white at that, so who cares.
If that purchased President knew ahead of time, might he not merely yawn at the news that he was anticipating and go to bed?
Might he not then hop his taxpayer funded giant jet and head off clear across the country the very next day, rather than stick around the office to find out what, exactly, had happened … because he already knew?
Would he not then further apologize on behalf of his Muslim paymasters to all the other Muslims for upsetting them? And get up in the United Nations and before the entire world, promise NOT to uphold the Constitution of the United States and its central provisions of free speech?
After all, if he’s a Muslim at heart, then it’s perfectly OK for him to promise to uphold the Constitution in his swearing-in ceremony and have absolutely no intention of doing so, because that is “taqiyya” which holds that it’s permissible to lie for the sake of Allah.
I find the timing of this terrorist attack to be interesting, since it’s becoming apparent that Obama may lose his Presidency and be of little or no further use to Islamic paymasters. He needs to help the international terrorists as much as possible before the November elections, or even the January swearing-in of his successor.

Your comment is excellent. However, to the best of my knowledge, Hillary never went to school for a Ph D. in Political Science. She is just a lawyer. Her only credential was that she happened to be the wife of a past President of the United States. The position of Secretary of State needs years of schooling and diplomatic assignments like President George Herbert Walker Bush had and other qualified people before and after him. She is not only incompetent but pushed for the ousting of Mubarak in Egypt and Gaddafi in Libya. Just look what happened there thanks to her and Obama. Let’s hope enough Americans wake up from their stupor before November 6th and throw out this horrific administration.
